Day 1: Arrival YOGYAKARTA
Arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) meet & greet by our Guide at airport then Transfer to hotel for check in. (Gaia Cosmo Hotel or similar 4*)
Day 2: YOGYAKARTA (B)
After breakfast visit Kraton (Sultan Palace) the center of the javanesse culture and tradition. Leaving for Taman Sari Water castle is the site of a former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. It is located about 2 km south within the grounds of the Kraton, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Built in the mid-18th century, the Taman Sari had multiple functions, such as a resting area, a workshop, a meditation area, a defense area, and a hiding place . Continue to Prawirotan area for Batik Making Workshop. You can design your own pattern, practice your batik skill, and dye the fabric. Leaving for visit Taru Martani 1918 Cigar Company. Taru Martani was originally founded by a Dutch cigar company, Mignot & de Block, based in Eindhoven, Netherlands in 1918. The uniqueness of making cigars at Taru Martani is that all the manufacturing processes are done manually by hand. Afternoon leaving for Kotagede is a historic neighborhood in Yogyakarta. Kotagede contains the remains of the first capital of Mataram Sultanate, established in the 16th century. Some of the remains of the old Kotagede are remains of the palace, the royal cemetery, the royal mosque, and defensive walls and moats. Kotagede known as silver handmade village. Back to hotel.
Day 3: YOGYAKARTA (B)
Breakfast at hotel. At 08.30 leaving hotel for Magelang regency to visit Borobudur Temple the biggest and the most significant Buddhist historical site of the world. The temple was build approximately in the 9th century and was estimated to be built by 30.000 engravers and sculptors, 15.000 bearers and thousands of masons in 75 years.
Continue visit to Candirejo, a traditional Javanese village which is rich in its natural surroundings including paddy fields, portraying traditional Javanese culture and daily life through traditional houses, plantation resources, farming and local food. You will participate in daily social activities to feel their real traditional village atmosphere, their culture and lifestyle.
Continue visit Mendut Temple. The temple was build around the 9th century and known to be the oldest of two other Buddhist temples, the Pawon and Borobudur. The 26.4 meter tall temple not only has become the centre of Buddhism practices and rituals, but also believed by local Javanese Kejawen as the place to meditate. It is shown by a stone carved image of Hariti as the symbol of fertility and motherhood, that are popular among the locals as the praying site for couples who longs to have children. Back to Hotel.
Day 4: YOGYAKARTA – SOLO (B)
Check out from hotel after breakfast leaving for Prambanan Hindhust Temple complex, built in 856, this temple complex is known the Loro Jonggrang in the daily language of the folk. On arrival in Solo, short visit the Mangkunegaran Palace, a classical repository of Javanese art and culture. It has numerous priceless treasures dating all the way back to the Majapahit era, more than five centuries ago. Then short visit Triwindu Antique Market. Triwindu Market sells many types of antiques in Solo such as wood and stone sculptures, radio, ancient money, weapon, households appliances, puppets, clocks, etc. Afternoon arrive hotel, check in and free Program (Novotel Hotel Solo 4* or similar)
Day 5: KEDIRI (B)
After breakfast check out, leaving solo for Kediri, en-route visit Sukuh temple. Sukuh temple has a distinctive thematic reliefs from other candi where life before birth and sexual education are its main theme. Its main monument is a simple pyramid structure with reliefs and statues in front of it, including three tortoises with flattened shells and a male figure grasping his penis. A giant 1.82 m (6 ft) high of Shishna with four testes, representing penile incisions was one of the statues that has been relocated to the National Museum of Indonesia. Continue drive to Kediri via Tawangmangu, Sarangan Madiun and Nganjuk. Late afternoon arrive at Kediri, accommodation at Grand Surya or similar.
Day 6: KALIBARU (B)
Breakfast at hotel, Leaving Kediri for Kalibaru Banyuwangi, starts with a visit to Penataran temple via Blitar. late afternoon arrive at Kalibaru Banyuwangi. Accommodation at Margo utomo 1.
Day 7: KALIBARU – BANYUWANGI (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning plantation tour start at 08.00 by walk to see rubber, coffee, cacao, nutmeg tree etc. After lunch leaving Margo utomo 1 to Ketapang indah hotel Banyuwangi or similar. Free at your own program.
We will depart from Ketapang Indah Hotel or similar by jeep/car on 11.30 pm (1,5 hours by jeep/car to Paltuding-starting point for hiking) to see Blue fire (a beautiful panorama of blue flame of Ijen, Sulfur combusts on contact with air to create stunning blue lava-like rivers of light in the Kawah Ijen crater (Blue fire can be seen starting from 03.00-04.00 am).
Day 8: BANYUWANGI – BALI (B)
Return to the hotel for breakfast before heading to Ketapang port to catch the ferry to cross the Bali Strait to Gilimanuk with drop off at Bali.
