Itinerary
Day 1 :
Arrival YOGYAKARTA
Arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) meet & greet by staff/ driver at airport then Transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 2 :
YOGYAKARTA (B)
After breakfast visit Borobudur Temple, the biggest and the most significant Buddhist historical site of the world. Standing majestically and serenely on a hillock overlooking lush greenfields and distant hills, the shrine is without doubt one of the world’s most complete collections of Buddhist bas relief carvings. Continue visit to Candirejo, a traditional Javanese village which is rich in its natural surroundings including paddy fields, portraying traditional Javanese culture and daily life through traditional houses, plantation resources, farming and local food. One until two hours by Andong (Horse carriage) and taking a walk exploring Candirejo village. Having direct experiance with the local people in the field of planting, preparing the ground for cultivation, picking many kinds of seasonal fruits. And join to play simple gamelan. After enjoying tour in Candirejo, continue visit Pawon Temple. While in Javanese Pawon translates as “kitchen”, it is also believed that the name is derived from the word “Per-Awu-an” or a place that contains dust. While small in size, the Pawon temple still has a lot to offer for anyone interested in architecture and history. Continue to visit Mendut Temple. The temple was build around the 9th century and known to be the oldest of two other Buddhist temples, the Pawon and Borobudur. The 26.4 meter tall temple not only has become the centre of Buddhism practices and rituals, but also believed by local Javanese Kejawen as the place to meditate. It is shown by a stone carved image of Hariti as the symbol of fertility and motherhood, that are popular among the locals as the praying site for couples who longs to have children. Back to Hotel.
Day 3 :
YOGYAKARTA (B)
After breakfast visit Kraton (Sultan Palace) the center of the javanesse culture and tradition. Continue visit Taman Sari Water castle is the site of a former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. It is located about 2 km south within the grounds of the Kraton, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Built in the mid-18th century, the Taman Sari had multiple functions, such as a resting area, a workshop, a meditation area, a defense area, and a hiding place. Then continue to visit Prambanan Hindhust Temple complex, built in 856, this temple complex is known the Loro Jonggrang in the daily language of the folk. Leaving for ARTJOG. ARTJOG is a contemporary art fair, held annually. Back to hotel.
Day 4 :
YOGYAKARTA – TRANSFER OUT (B)
Check out hotel after breakfast. Transfer to Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) to catch your flight.
